What you should know about natural gas

Natural gas is supporting the expansion of a cleaner energy future that meets growing energy demands. Invenergy has been developing natural gas projects for over 20 years, and has successfully developed more than 6 GW across 13 efficient natural gas projects.

How Natural Gas Works

  1. 1 Ambient air is filtered to remove dust and contaminants.
  2. 2 Air is compressed to high pressure by a compressor.
  3. 3 Fuel is injected into the compressed air and combusted to heat the air.
  4. 4 The hot compressed air is expanded through a turbine to turn a generator and produce electrical power.
  5. 5 The electric output of the generator is transformed to a high voltage.
  6. 6 The electrical power is transmitted via transmission lines.
