Red Oak Ridge hosts community open houses

The Red Oak Ridge Energy Center team hosted two open house sessions in the Village of Somers for local residents to learn more about the project, how it will meet the need for energy security for Wisconsin residents, and the economic investment expected from construction and operation. As a peaker, Red Oak Ridge will serve as a backup generator for Wisconsin's grid, creating domestic electricity during times of high demand. In addition, the project will create good-paying, permanent jobs and bring nearly $2.4 million in additional local revenue each year through the Wisconsin Shared Utility Aid fund.
